A Study on the QRS Complex Detection Algorithm using Planar Velocity

Abstract

|
In this paper, QRS complex detection algorithm using planar velocity was developed. It reliably recognized QRS complex and pointed R-point based upon digital analysis of slope and amplitude. The planar velocity vector made by two leads can enhance the QRS complex and using 5-point derivatives and moving average sequencially, QRS onset could be found. The algorithm automatically adjust the threshold and the enhanced QRS complex was reconfirmed. This on-line processing algorithm can be applied on hardware pre-processing or et-cetra. For the part of standard MIT/BIH arrhythmia database, this algorithm detected 96.19% of the QRS complexes.
